The Local Youth Arts and Culture Connection

Are you a local person interested in sharing your arts and culture interests/talents with young people in the community? Or maybe you are a local youth serving agency looking for volunteers to help enrich your youth serving programs? In hopes to better connect our vibrant local arts and culture community to our local young people, the Partnership has created the Local Youth Arts and Culture Connection.

We all know how art and culture can change a person’s life. We want to expedite the process. On this page you will find a place to post volunteer opportunities and the ability to register as a local art and culture volunteer. Questions? Comments? Opportunities for Youth
1. Skeleton Crew Theater (SCT) is a performance group that creates magical shows in an outdoor venue for the whole family, while retaining the magic and mystery of the old Grim’s fairy tales. There’s an air of risk and shadow to our shows. Performers operate and voice life size puppets that interact with tour groups as they move through the space.
We’re casting for our first ever spring show, to be held on the grounds of Turners Falls High School on the evenings of May 18 and 19, 2012. Puppet experience is a bonus but not required, we’ll train with the puppets in the space. For Details call casting Director Sarah Hodge-Wetherbe at 413-455-5912.

Opportunities for Artists
1. The STEP program in Turners Falls is looking for a tattoo artist to come talk to the participants about their profession, how they got there, and how to pursue being a tattoo artist as a career.
