Thank You to TIPS attendees

The Communities that Care Coalition would like to say “Thank you” to the following Franklin County/North Quabbin Bars and Restaurants whose employees attended the October 17th TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) training in downtown Greenfield:

Johnson’s Farm (Orange), People’s Pint(Greenfield), Snowzee’s (Sunderland), Oriental House(Orange), Goten of Japan(Sunderland), Winterland(Greenfield), The Greenfield Grille(Greenfield), The Red Door(Greenfield), Frescos(Pittsfield), Mesa Verde(Greenfield), Hotel Warren(Sunderland), Rte 63 Roadhouse(Millers Falls), and Bridgeside Grille(Sunderland).

All 34 participants attended the 5-hour, skills-based training seminar designed to teach the participants how to prevent intoxication, drunk driving and underage drinking by enhancing their fundamental "people skills" as servers and sellers working with consumers of alcohol. The training provided to the participants the knowledge and confidence they need to recognize potential alcohol-related problems and intervene to prevent potential alcohol-related tragedies. At the end of the training they completed a test on what they learned. Passing the test entitles them to a 3 year certification that they have been trained in best practices.

Thank you for supporting the work of the Communities that Care Coalition and thanks for attending this training!

Prevention works. It’s working here.
