Safe Schools Smart Schools Coordinator Position

The Greenfield Safe Schools Smart Schools Coalition has received a 5-year Drug Free Communities Grant and is hiring a full-time Coordinator!  This will be an awesome position for the right person!  

START DATE:      Monday, October 1, 2012 
TERM:    12-month position; 4-year grant 

QUALIFICATIONS:   
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree 
Experience in working with public schools, community agencies, and teenage youth, 
preferred.  
Five years prior work experience with good references, 
Excellent communication and facilitation skills. 

DESCRIPTION:   
The Safe Schools/Smart Schools (SSSS) Project  Coordinator is responsible for managing 
and coordinating implementation of Greenfield School’s Drug Free Communities federal 
grant project. The Coordinator will work with district administration and the SSSS 
coalition to ensure that the grant’s goals are met.   
The Coordinator will: 
 work to understand and then decrease risk behaviors of Greenfield teens,  
 build relationships among and between community organizations, in order to 
develop broad local support for Greenfield  teenagers,  
 coordinate a Community Action Plan to accomplish grant goals for  
making Greenfield safer for teens, e.g. more healthy young adult activities, 
 organize and attend community events relevant to Drug Free Community grant 
objectives,  
 collaborate with school administrators of Greenfield teenagers,   
 prepare required grant monitoring reports,  
 fulfill administrative responsibilities for the Drug Free Community grant and 
school department.  

COMPENSATION: $42,000 - $52,000;
