Important message from Superintendent of Schools Michael Sullivan about GMRSD graduation!

posted May 10, 2015, 5:35 PM by Ashley Mark
Dear GMRSD Faculty, Paraprofessionals and Retirees,

We would like to begin a tradition of having any interested faculty, paraprofessionals and retirees participate in our graduation ceremonies each year by being part of an Honor Guard. Traditionally how this is done is the participants wear the cap, gown and hood (if applicable) of their degree program and participate in the ceremony by leading the graduates in and out of the ceremony. It is a wonderful way for the faculty past and present to honor our graduating seniors. If you still have your cap, gown, etc. from your most recent program you are welcome to wear it for the ceremony, but if not we will be renting them from University Cap and Gown at the discounted price of $10 (more information on this to follow). If you are interested in participating, please email Beth Fortin at bfortin@gmrsd.org or Sandy Bailey at sbailey@gmrsd.org as soon as possible. Please provide us with a phone number to contact you in the email. Once we know we will have enough participants we will contact you with additional information.

Thank you and we hope you will consider participating in this new and exciting tradition!
