Family Day!

Dear Parents, Guardians, and other important adults in children’s lives!

The 4th Monday in September is Family Day – a day to promote simple acts of parental engagement as key ways to help prevent risky substance use in children and teens ( Each year we are reminded of the importance of families sharing meals together, talking together, and hanging out together.

Spending time together and sharing meals together as a family is incredibly beneficial for children and teens: it helps kids of all ages do better in school and avoid risky behavior like underage drinking.

We hope that on Family Day - September 22nd, you'll make a special effort to hang out with your kids, and to think about how to set up your schedule for the year to make time for family time!
