Community Action is seeking Community Representatives to Join the Board of Directors

COMMUNITY REPRESENTATIVE ELECTION 2015 

Community Action is looking for six Community Representatives to join its Board of Directors for the 2015-2018 term! 

WHO CAN BE A COMMUNITY REPRESENTATIVE?  

In order to be eligible, candidates must currently reside in the county in which they are running, and must have lived with a lower-income at some point in their life. 


All Candidate Nominations must be received by March 11. Candidates do not need any special experience or knowledge to be on our Board! Community Action's Board is a friendly, informal group that works together because they believe in the agency's mission.

WHAT ARE THE BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

All of Community Action's Board members are volunteers and are expected to attend one dinner meeting on the first Wednesday of January, March, May, September and November. Community Representatives may be reimbursed for child care and transportation expenses.
