#413Reads is raising awareness for the impact of reading to children at a young age

posted May 10, 2015, 3:12 PM by Ashley Mark
The #413Reads campaign is reaching parents and caregivers with the message of the importance of reading to their children from birth.  Reading aloud from birth is the single most important thing a parent can do to stimulate a child's brain, building a foundation for reading and academic success. #413Reads is an initiative of READ! Reading Success by 4th Grade.

Parents and caregivers are asked to post selfies reading to their child(ren) and they are entered into a monthly drawing for a $50 Pride gas card! Check out the current #413reads winners, and learn more about this program, on the website.

Thank you to Pride Stations and Stores for its commitment to children and families in our community.

Spread the word!  Pass it on! #talkreadsing
